Resources for The Gospel-Shaped Life

David Wells breakout session

It has been more than two weeks, now, since 1,200 Christians gathered in downtown Boston to celebrate the gospel and consider its necessary shaping influence on our lives. TGCNE ’12—The Gospel-Shaped Life—was an exciting, encouraging, and challenging event that gave all who were present the sense that God is doing a renewing work in the rocky soil of New England. By God’s grace, the conference was able to bring to light the real work of gospel-renewal that is occurring in local churches, institutions, and individual lives.

We are happy to announce that we are making all of the conference audio available free of charge in order to further encourage this work of gospel-renewal. For those that were unable to attend the conference, this audio provides an opportunity to listen in on plenary sessions from Timothy Keller, John Piper, D.A. Carson and Stephen Um. For those who attended the conference and wished they could have made it to all 14 breakout sessions, you now have a chance to catch up on anything you might have missed.

Here are a few sessions that will be of particular interest to those living and ministering in New England:

–       Jared Wilson – Gospel Growth in Rocky Soil

–       Collin Hansen – We Dare Not Despair: A Great Awakening, Then and Now

–       Panel: Perspectives on Ministry in New England (Bass, Chin, Evans, Ovalle, Kerhoulas)

We were also privileged to have breakout contributions from top-notch scholars:

–       David Wells – The Holy-Love of God

–       Richard Lints & Patrick Smith – The Gospel and Apologetics

–       Stephen Witmer – Why Heaven Is Crucial for Ministry

Conference attendees may also be interested in one more bit of audio. You can still download the free 5-song sampler from our conference band: Castle Island Hymns.

Enjoy these resources and steward them well! Pass them along to pastors, friends and family members who were unable to attend. Keep your ears open for sessions that skeptical friends might enjoy listening in on. And feel free to share these sessions widely on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms. Finally, pray with us that a conference like TGCNE ’12 ultimately will be only a blip on the radar of the greater renewing work that God is bringing about in New England.
